Mercury

MercuryMercury is the Ruling Planet of the third house of Gemini and the sixth house of Virgo. It is named after the Roman god Mercury, the god of commerce, travel and thievery. The planet probably received this name because it moves so quickly across the sky.

Mercury is associated with travel, intellect, logic and communication skills. Mercury represents quick trips, short classes, siblings, and transportation.

Astrological Crop Circles Mysteriously Appear in Denver Capitol Garden

By Donna Woodwell

Denver, CO, May 19, 2008 – Early Monday morning, 10 planetary glyphs and zodiacal signs mysteriously appeared in the nearly plowed flower beds of the state capitol’s circular gardens.

“These symbols reflect the placement of the planets in the night sky at the time of their appearance,” said an astrological expert attending an astrological conference in the nearby Sheraton Denver Hotel. “The timing of the event is certainly evidence of the astrological principle ‘As above, so below.’”

Witnesses at the hotel reported strange lights hovering over the garden area just after midnight. Others said they heard a long wail of siren-like sounds in the area.

“We’d just finished watching a documentary on astrology in the 21st century called ‘Return of the Magi,’” said one attendee of the conference, known as UAC 2008. “Maybe they flew in with a few of their extra-terrestrial friends?”

The designs were pressed in the soft earth by an unknown force. They were also filled with a substance that looked like sulfur, but upon further analysis turned out to be cornmeal, used by some as an organic fertilizer.

At the center of the circle was a spiral pattern which resembled the logo of Wandering Star Astrology Jewelry. When asked about the coincidence, owner Alicia Katz just smiled and said “Didn’t you know? Magic always happens under the Full Moon.”

Top Five Astro-Events for June
1. Uranus opposes the U.S. Neptune, exact on June 2, but in effect all month. This combination reflects the ongoing economic crisis over gasoline prices, as the global oil market is strained by demands from industrial newcomers India and China. Uranus turns retrograde on June 26, and remains tightly configured with the U.S. Neptune through the summer.

2. Ceres opposes Pluto on June 11 at 0º Cancer/Capricorn, exactly squaring the critical Aries Point. The harsher Ceres themes of death and loss, along with stressed out relief agencies due to natural or manmade disasters, can be expected. This aspects' proximity to the U.S. Venus might indicate the death of a famous American.

3. The Sun is conjunct Venus on June 8, but these two travel together from the 1st through the 19th. This combination urges peace and harmony, although hard aspects to Uranus and Juno will be upsetting to many. Expect an unusual round of romantic triangles pitting the obligations of marriage against the possibilities of romance.

4. The Full Moon on June 18 aligns with a simultaneous opposition between Venus and Pluto, as Mercury turns direct on the 19th. Personal and political trends reach a culmination, as the emotional arc of recent events ends in either victory or defeat. This eventful phase marks a new beginning, as many realize who they can work with and who are enemies.

5. Mars trines Pluto on June 30, but is a favorable influence during the last week of June. Since Mars goes on to conjoin Saturn in early July, this aspect describes a constructive phase, where long-range plans can be effectively put into action. A concurrent Sun-Ceres conjunction in Cancer points to family members working together productively.
