How to "Read" Your Astrological Necklace

Your Astrology Chart Jewelry is an actual map of the planets and zodiac at a given moment in time. As such, it is "readable" by any astrologer who knows the key.

Astronomers record the exact location of each planet in our solar system by noting its degree in the 360 degree circle around the Earth. In your necklace (or bracelet or pendulum or eyeglass chain...), each glass bead represents a specific number of degrees, adding up to 360. In a short necklace, each bead equals approximately four degrees; in a long necklace, each equals two degrees.

Each planet is represented by a semiprecious stone that physically looks like the planet in both color and relative size. Where a planet falls in your chart, a glass bead is replaced with the corresponding semiprecious stone. These are the stones that we use:

The Sun = cast Bronze The Moon = Frosted Quartz
Earth = Azurite-Malachite Mercury = Snowflake Obsidian
Venus = African Picture Jasper Mars = Carnelian
Jupiter = East Indian Glass (it even has a Great Red Spot!) Saturn = Tiger's Eye (has its own rings)
Uranus = Turquoise Neptune = Green Agate
Pluto = Quartz Crystal

Astrologers mark a Natal Chart's houses and zodiac in the same way: where each of the twelve areas of the zodiac fall at a given moment of the day. To mark the twelve Astrological Houses in your chart, we use tiny Sterling Silver beads. Slightly larger silver beads mark the Ascendant (horizon where the sun comes up), Midheaven (overhead), Descendant (where the sun goes down), and Nadir (where the sun is at midnight).

Small gold beads mark the twelve zodiac signs. Even if you just think of yourself as "a Libra," the other signs are still present in your chart and are marked in their exact locations.

To do an astrology reading, simply find the Azurite-Malachite bead representing the Earth. This bead marks the Ascendant, the first House. Turn this bead to the left side: the planet, house, and zodiac declensions will now fall into place.
