Learn Astrology:"Houses" are the 12 pie slices in an astrology chart that astrologers use to interpret horoscopes. They're the realms of life within which your personality traits play out. They're calculated based on the sun's highest position on any given day.
The Sixth House, naturally ruled by Virgo, is the home of work, health, humble service in the world, and domestic pets. It also relates to military service, domestic help, health-related professions, and service businesses.
When current planets transit through your sixth house, you need to simplify and organize those areas your life so that you can be highly efficient.
In the workplace, the 6th House is the part of your job that needs to be done, but that you do not get a lot of recognition for doing. The second and tenth houses are also involved with career issues.
The sixth house asks the question, “how can I be of service to the world without becoming a slave to it?” A Virgo sixth house cusp may be a nurse or a veterinarian, whereas a Gemini cusp may provide information or technical services.
The sixth house is a major focus when exploring health and healing (though of course you need to look at a wide variety of factors to understand health in a chart). In general, the sign on the 6th house cusp points toward weaknesses in your health. A person with Aquarius, Gemini, or Virgo in the sixth house may need to avoid overtaxing the nervous system. Scorpio sixth house people may need to pay attention to dental care, reproductive organs, and the elimination system.
In relationships, the sixth house represents the practical elements of day-to-day life. When the honeymoon part of a relationship settles down, look to this house to organize your life, accommodating your partner and your worldly work.

"O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circled orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable .
-- William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
May 28, 2004 -- Contrary to the belief of many, the full moon does not bring on epileptic seizures.
University of South Florida researcher Selim Benbadis, MD, and colleagues decided to test the popular myth. They kept track of all seizures recorded at the Tampa General Hospital's epilepsy monitoring unit.
"Contrary to the myth, epileptic seizures are not more common during a full moon," Benbadis says in a news release. "In fact, we found the number of epileptic seizures was lowest during the full moon and highest in the moon's last quarter."
Benbadis notes that the full moon's gravitational pull -- usually cited as the reason for the its supposed effects -- is very weak. It's trivial compared to the more powerful daily ebb and flow of the earth's gravity.
The study appears in the early online edition of Epilepsy & Behavior .
But the study failed to disprove a lunar link to epilepsy. Epileptic seizures were significantly more frequent during the moon's last quarter.
And the study found that so-called "psychogenic non-epileptic seizures" are more frequent during a full moon. Psychogenic seizures are not related to epilepsy, and have no obvious physical cause.
"Because psychogenic non-epileptic seizures are by definition a psychiatric disease, this is not surprising," Benbadis and colleagues write. "It is possible that patients with [psychogenic seizures] and other mental illnesses are more likely to pay attention to horoscope, lunar phases, and other irrational influences."
"I received my [Horoscope] jewelry and I love it. I can't seem to take off the necklace; it feels like it's a part of me. I'm thinking I should have gotten the bracelet so I didn't have to take it off!!! Enjoying my necklace...."

Three handsome male dogs are walking down the street when they see a beautiful, enticing, female Poodle. The three male dogs fall all over themselves in an effort to be the one to reach her first, but end up arriving in front of her at the same time. The males are speechless before her beauty, slobbering on themselves and hoping for just a glance from her in return.
Aware of her charms and her obvious effect on the three suitors, she decides to be kind and tells them, "The first one who can use the words 'liver' and 'cheese' together in an imaginative, intelligent sentence can go out with me."
The sturdy, muscular black Lab speaks up quickly and says, "I love liver and cheese."
"Oh, how childish," said the Poodle. "That shows no imagination or intelligence whatsoever."
She turns to the tall, shiny Golden Retriever and says "How well can you do?" "Um. I HATE liver and cheese," blurts the Golden Retriever.
"My, my," said the Poodle. "I guess it's hopeless. That's just as dumb as the Lab's sentence."
She then turns to the last of the three dogs and says, "How about you, little guy?" The last of the three, tiny in stature but big in fame and finesse, is the Taco Bell Chihuahua.
He gives her a smile, a sly wink, turns to the Golden Retriever and the Lab and says ....
"Liver alone. Cheese mine!"
