Harmonic Concordance
In our Scorpio Issue we talked about the November 8 Harmonic Concordance, when the planets lined up in a Star of David. It was an incredibly auspicious moment to start on the things you know you need to do for yourself, no matter how big or challenging, especially the areas where you're in denial.
The question I was asked most is "How do I know which is the right choice to make, or direction to go?"
My answer is a surprisingly simple one: "Do what will make you laugh once you get there!"
New Product:
Astro Helix
Wandering Star and TwirlyThings have collaborated to introduce an entirely new concept: a Helix-shaped Spiral mobile that is YOUR ASTROLOGY CHART!
Reminiscent of a DNA Spiral, these custom-made AstroHelix Mobiles use the same concept as our jewelry to literally embody your energy.
Each rib represents a zodiac cusp, house, or planet, placed in order around the circle from the Ascendant to the 12th House. Your Planets are semi-precious stones that look like the planets. Houses are Swarovski Crystal and throw rainbows when hung in the window. The Zodiac Cusps are pewter beads with glyphs.
About 30 inches tall and hanging from an infrared motorized spinner, this engaging mobile rivets your attention while activating your astrology chart.

Laury Ostro, the inventor of the original Dancing Helix (which won 2 COVR awards), describes it as being wonderful for feng shui. He also likes using them for mediation, especially for your physical body. In an astrology chart, the Ascendant represents your head and the rest of the chart works around down to your feet. Your Astro Helix will place every planet in your chart right next to where it falls on your body, from head to toe.
We will custom-make your Astro Helix especially for you. Provide your birth date, time and place. We will even include a paper chart and 15-page interpretation for FREE!
Our Astro Helix is BRAND NEW on the market. They will cost $299. But since this is the FIRST OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT of our new product, we are offering our newsletter subscribers a special pre-release price of $249 through the end of December. To SAVE $50, enter "PRERELEASE" in the shopping cart's Secret Code box!

Empowerment
Sagittarius's Ruling House is the 9th, learning, philosophy, spirituality. If you know any Sag's, you know they're always off on a new adventure.
Sagittarians are excited to learn something new, and to discover new realms, both external and internal.
What better theme for our Empowerment Jewelry, about exploring your internal values and gifts. Wear this astrological alignment to immerse yourself in these affirmations:
- I am a visionary achiever, out there with my ideas about the world, a seeker and seer.
- My intuitive thoughts and communication skills lend to service as a healer.
- I focus on understanding who I am and where Ive come from.
- I love and value who I am, enjoying the exploration of my roots and my psychic nature.
- I glean knowledge about myself through whats mirrored back to me in my relationships.
- I transform through self-exploration. Examining the psychological aspects of my nature allows me to claim my nontraditional individuality.
- I develop my direction via my intuition and spirituality. I value connecting with the creative and the divine.
- My mental processes are grounded and structured.
- I have an emotional need to understand the big picture and to articulate my own vision.

Sagittarius, November 22 to December 21
- Symbol: Centaur Archer
- Element: Fire
- Quality: Mutable
- House: 9th: Philosophy, Religion, Learning
- Planet: Jupiter
- Color: Purple
- Body Part: Liver, hips, upper legs
- Trait: Freespirited, Adventurous
- Semi-precious stone: Sodalite
Sagittarius is embodied by intelligence, philosophy, and freedom. The sign of the archer loves an adventure, be it in the outdoors or in pursuit of the outer reaches of the higher mind.
A Sagittarian makes for a good friend, as they are honest, generous, and optimistic. Integrity is critical to them. Sag's are very forthright and may have a bawdy sense of humor.
In terms of the higher mind, Sagittarians are here to help us go beyond self-limiting thoughts and beliefs. You can often find them coaching or encouraging people to achieve their dreams and goals.
Negative traits involve a tendency not to take things seriously, to put what they want to do ahead of what they need to do. Since they resent constraints in any way, if you want a Sag to do something, make it seem like it was their idea!
Sagittarius rules the legal system, abundance, banks, wild animals, and big things (not just any pet, but a horse or Great Dane). In the body, Sagittarius rules the upper legs, hips, and the liver.
Wandering Star makes gorgeous Sagittarius Zodiac Jewelry designed to help our freewheeling friends remember to take care of responsibilites before running off to play!

Astronomy and Astrology: Jupiter
Jupiter is the Roman name for Zeus, the Greek god and ruler of Olympus.
The planet Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius in the Ninth house. In astrology, Jupiter represents optimism, generosity, philanthropy, luck, philosophy, and foreign cultures.
People with a strong Jupiter may be large in size, loud in voice, or simply command attention when they walk into a room.
Jupiter coaches and encourages people to overcome obstacles to achieve their greatest desires. Jupiter is a loyal friend. Used negatively, Jupiter can be boastful and tends towards overdoing (overeat, overspend, etc.)
The location of Jupiter in your natal chart indicates the area of life where you can express expansive philosophy. In the ninth house, you may love to travel or pursue higher spiritual or educational goals. Jupiter governs the liver and diseases caused by excess.
Jupiter orbits around the sun almost every 12 years, so you can look at each 12-year segment in your life as a new way of expressing your philosophy in the world.
Jupiter is an unusual planet. Not only is it far bigger than any other planet in our solar system, but it's largely made up of gasses with a liquid metallic hydrogen center. High-velocity winds make up its swirly bands. And the Great Red Spot is a 300-year-old storm!
Jupiter is famous for its 4 moons (Io, Ganymede, Callisto, and Europa) as well as dozens of satellites. You can see them with a telescope!
Jupiter has been visited by a handful of space missions, and in 1994 comet Shoemaker-Levy crashed into it, with a "splash" that was visible for a year.

"Dear Alicia,
I was thinking about our conversation about World Peace and the more I thought about it, the more I was convinced by your argument that there IS still hope for World Peace. I will take to heart what you said.* I've just been so frustrated and depressed by what has been happening...it's easy to lose hope. But you have made me rejuvinate my efforts with your lovely bracelet. I will wear it and meditate with it with great hope for the future." Sashi W, Lower Merion PA

Light Twists as it Waves
When astronomers measure light , they are usually concerned with its direction, energy, and spin polarization (sometimes). Recently, however, it has been more broadly realized that photons can also have orbital angular momentum (OAM), an attribute classically analogous to the Earth orbiting the Sun as well as spinning on its axis. Pictured above , the wave-front of a photon with OAM is shown to be twisted, in contrast to the flat plane of zero OAM light. Light with OAM might be used to increase the information content of communication or to discern specific types of astronomical sources.

And for those of you who have read this far:
When things in your life seem almost to much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar........and the beer.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two bottles of beer from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends, your favorite passions--things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."
