Al Qaeda Hits London
As described last week, the transit of Mars over the Solar Eclipse
degree would bring “horrific acts of violence”, a
scenario that was all too vivid to commuters in London when Al
Qaeda bombs began detonating. London’s trauma, from an astrological
perspective, was similar to New York’s when transiting Mars
also hit the Solar Eclipse point on September 11, 2001.
Al Qaeda’s horoscope
is set for the joint fatwa
issued by Osama Bin Laden
and his cohorts on February
23, 1998 (5:00 am; London*).
This chart features the
Sun conjunct Jupiter in
faith-oriented Pisces modified
by a sharp square to Pluto
in religious Sagittarius.
This combination can easily
be seen as religious fanaticism.
The warrior planet Mars
is also in Pisces, where
it describes how action
is based on beliefs.
At the moment of the London
bombings, transiting Pluto
was exactly squaring Al
Qaeda’s Mars (orb
0º02'). This connection
alone is enough to create
the kind of massive attack
staged last week. In addition,
transiting Mars was conjunct
Al Qaeda’s Saturn
and square its Moon with
very tight orbs. The New
Moon n Cancer took place
right on Al Qaeda’s
Descendant.
Last year’s bombing
in Madrid on March 11,
2004 took place during
a previous Pluto transit
to Al Qaeda’s Mars,
plus transiting Uranus
conjunct Al Qaeda’s
Sun. The 9/11 attack initiated
Al Qaeda’s reign
of terror just as it was
experiencing a progressed
New Moon square Pluto (orb
0º03'). This chart
works, and can be monitored
by astrologers to foresee
future attacks. Transiting
Pluto will return to square
Al Qaeda’s Mars this
coming October.
Saturn Enters Leo
The taskmaster Saturn enters
Leo on July 16, and will stay in this imperial sign for the
next two years. Saturn here has a major influence in the horoscopes
of many political leaders, nations, and generations, especially
the so-called Baby Boomers. Saturn in Leo judges kings and monarchs,
or the leaders who personify these royal qualities.
Those born between 1939
and 1958 all have Pluto
in Leo, and as a demographic
cohort, this generation
has assumed authority over
our current system. The
most prominent politicians,
teachers, CEOs, and scientists
all have Pluto in Leo.
Those who show true leadership – that
is, those who are fair
to their subjects – will
be further empowered by
Saturn, while those who
demonstrate arrogance,
greed, and foolishness
will stumble.
Shortly after World War
II, Saturn and Pluto united
in Leo, a combination that
birthed several nations
and organizations critical
to the mutual interdependence
of our global systems.
Some of these include Israel,
India, Pakistan, China,
the United Nations, NATO,
and the World Bank. When
Saturn enters Leo, these
entities will face a difficult
restructuring process,
which will likewise empower
them or significantly decrease
their global clout.
The importance of this
passage should become evident
on July 22 when the Sun
enters Leo to form a conjunction
with Saturn. This conjunction
opposes Chiron in egalitarian
Aquarius, and so we can
expect that imperial leaders
will confront or be challenged
by organized opposition,
especially those that have
been wounded in some way
(Chiron). President Bush,
with Leo Rising, will be
in the spotlight.
Michelle Wie, The Center of the Storm
Teen
golfing sensation Michelle Wie electrified the PGA Tour last week
when she nearly became the first woman to make the cut since Babe
Didrikson Zaharias qualified in 1945. As TV cameras and a throng
of 6,000 followed her around the course, Wie was well on her way,
but then double-bogeyed and bogeyed the last two holes to just
miss the cut.
Michelle Wie** was born with
an energetic Sun-Mars conjunction
in the composed sign of Libra
(October 11, 1989; Honolulu;
time unknown). The asteroid
Juno is also conjunct her Sun,
which bestows additional charm
and people skills. Considering
the Sun-Juno-Mars conjunction
alone, Michelle might be content
to be an assertive socialite,
interested in establishing
herself through her network
of friends and close relationships.
However, these personal planets
are given tremendous ambition
to connect to the global village
since they are challenged by
hard aspects to several outer
planets, including the epochal
triple conjunction between
Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune.
This 1989 outer planet alignment
was geopolitically momentous,
astrologically marking the
collapse of the Berlin Wall,
the powerful hurricane Hugo,
and the surprising earthquake
in San Francisco.
Michelle Wie’s golfing
feats curiously coincide with
hurricanes, earthquakes, and
political turmoil. Last week
transiting Jupiter and Uranus
were forming an exact aspect
to each other, and hitting
her Jupiter. Simultaneously,
Floridians were battening down
against Hurricane Dennis, while
Londoners cleaned up their
bombed transportation system.
Michelle represents the calm
center of the storm, the ultimate
grace under pressure, as she
breaks through cultural, gender,
and age barriers.
* Although Bin Laden had created
Al Qaeda several years earlier,
this decree represented the
birth moment of his international
network of terror, and the
one responsible for last week’s
destruction. For more info,
