Questioning the Iraq - 9/11 Connection

Last week a respected group of 26 leading diplomats and military commanders issued an important, widely-publicized letter to the nation calling for a major change in direction in foreign policy. The letter said that America's entire diplomatic and military structure is "crumbling under an administration blinded by ideology and a callous indifference to the realities of the world around it."

Astrologically, this provocative statement was only the latest reality check brought on by Saturn's critical position in the U.S. horoscope and Bush's own chart. As described last week, transiting Saturn is forming a square to the U.S. Saturn, which has brought him some successes, but also some major challenges. Saturn represents the nation's structural systems that are now undergoing critical re-evaluation.

Also last week the 9-11 commission stated unequivocally that there was no collaboration between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Iraq's twelfth house Mars is located at twelve degrees Leo (12Leo38), and describes the potential for secret military operations.

On September 11, 2001 transiting Pluto was at twelve degrees Sagittarius (12SAG38) where it formed a precise, exact-to-the minute trine to the twelfth house Mars. The nature of this Mars-Pluto contact is the perfect planetary signature* for such a devastating attack. However, no credible evidence has been made public that would support this link. Is the precise Mars-Pluto aspect proof of collaboration? At the very least, it shows that the War on Terror is a Global War, and 9-11 was only the opening salvo.

The House of Saud Under Siege

Shortly after an Al Qaeda cell operatives beheaded an American engineer in Riyadh last Friday, Saudi security forces gunned down the leader. Terrorist activity in Saudi Arabia has increased dramatically over the last two months, prompting U.S. officials to advise all Americans to leave the oil-rich kingdom. Meanwhile, Pentagon analysts dusted off invasion plans in case the House of Saud collapses.

The House of Saud has held control of Islam's holiest sites and one quarter of the world's oil supply since its geopolitical foundation on January 15, 1902 (3:45 am GMT; Riyadh, see May 20, 2003 NewsScope). This horoscope features Venus in the second house of money. Venus is exalted by being in Neptune's sign Pisces, and describes the nation's fabulous wealth as derived from its oil resources.

Neptune itself is located in the sixth house of workers. Last week the New Moon in Gemini took place exactly on the Saudi Neptune, highlighting the grisly terrorist incident that captured news headlines across the world. At the same time, militant Mars had entered the seventh house of open enemies and opposed the Saudi Sun, reflecting how the attack on the foreign workers was an indirect attack on the House of Saud.

At the moment, transiting Chiron is conjunct the Saudi Sun, giving the impression of a "wounded" leadership. King Fahd himself is incapacitated, and the Kingdom is run by family members. Over the next two months transiting Saturn enters this planetary complex by opposing the Saudi Sun. The Saturn-Chiron polarity on the Saudi Sun represents a severe testing period. Can the current leadership maintain control over the insurgency, and win the bigger battle for the hearts and minds of its Islamic population?
